CONTENT 45/70
Here's a telling quote from this diary: "I keep getting off subject. (But to me, I think, that's the whole point of writing.)"
I just about bit through my tongue in fury when I read that. Writing is not about getting off-subject, unless you're writing for yourself and logging all the boring stuff that happened to you that nobody cares about. Maybe getting off-subject is the point of boring writing.
Mostly, that's what this diary is. Yeah, you're bored; yeah, school sucks; yeah, your sister won't get off the computer; yeah, you're weird and nobody understands you. Whatever.
But every once in a while it strays from the usual D-land drivel and gets readable. The descriptions of your mom's childhood was a nice change from the usual content.
Grammar's awright. So's the spelling. Occasional slip-ups, but nothing remarkable.
STYLE 8/10
Nothing too special about it. But man, it's improved a lot since the first entry and sounds less like a silly, chirpy pre-teen. Keep writing, see where it takes you.
DESIGN 5/10
The design looks good and is useable -- in Internet Explorer. It looks weird but useable in newer versions of Netscape and chokes in Opera. You should use a design that doesn't break in alternate browsers, since a lot of people use them.
Nice use of color.
NAVIGATION 5/5
Solid. Easy to use. Nice. I like the way the archives are laid out.
FREQUENCY 5/5
Frequent enough.
